Sean Goddard

My name is Sean Godard. This would have been my first year at Art in the Pearl! For those unfamiliar with me…I make insects! I make them out of glass and metal. The glass generally has a variety of kiln work. Insect parts are made with fused glass and then kiln formed for the eyes of insects or perhaps the sections of a beetles carapace. Sheet copper is used to make the insects body for form and structural integrity. As you might notice at first glance, I don’t try to make my insects cute. Though I have fun with colour, I relish the beauty in the oddity and form that is all around us in the insect world and enjoy the challenge of applying my skills to this subject.
